Is The Bible Enough?

I always use pictures from India but for real how cute is this!!

Ok so the title, rhetorical question. Obvi the Bible is enough. Think about it from a God perspective vs a worldly perspective. The one who created the universe, heaven, the one who created every single person who has lived or ever will live, the omniscient one, think of THAT God. Cause that is who He is. He isn’t the God that people say he is. He is the God HE said he is. Ok so take that God and imagine what he could do… if he could do allll of that, really what can’t he do? Do you think that THIS God couldn’t have created one book. One book that was his perfect word, that lasted through thousands of years, through wars, through persecution, that held all the information that we need on this earth? 2,000 years later this same book has SUCH a huge impact on the world. He knows every star by name and you don’t think he could have created one book that was sufficient? Crazy! It baffles my mind that people think the bible is “outdated.” Like nah, God who created everything didn’t give us a book that was “outdated” for our time, maybe our generation is the one that is just so far away from God we can’t even comprehend seeing the world HIS way. I am writing this blog today to defend the Word. The living Word. The only book on this earth that is complete truth.

The Bible Is Clear On What It Is:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created.” John 1:1-3

” He was in the world, and the world was created through Him, and yet the world did not recognize Him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of natural decent, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

Alright that was a little chunk of scripture but SO important. God is the Word. Jesus is God. Therefore… Jesus is the Word. Also if you know anything about Jesus, He is perfect! That is why the Word is infallible. Jesus is the Word.

All scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”  2 Timothy 3:16

God created the Word for us! So that we will be equipped for our purpose in this world.

” For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 *Jesus*

For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of His Majesty.  He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with Him on the sacred mountain. We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:16-21

Ok before you read these next two scriptures. I want to just say I’m not here to offend but only to defend the truth. You cannot pick and choose what part of the Bible you want to believe, you believe it all or you discredit it all. You cannot add to the bible. Why would you need to add to the truth? If God thought the Bible needed something more, He would’ve added it in the beginning.

” I am amazed. that you are so quickly turning away from Him who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel – not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are troubling you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, a curse be on Him. Galatians 1:6-8

” Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest he rebuke you, and you be found a liarProverbs 30:5-6

I wanted to end this by saying I am so grateful for the Word. I have so much peace knowing the truth. Like if I’m confused about something… Bible. I literally go to the Bible for everything and I’m just grateful that I serve a God that is never changing. Even if the culture is ever changing, the truth will always be the truth. Also if anyone is like ” ok yeah you just took scriptures from a book to defend a book” like yes I did but it’s only because there’s no other book like the Bible. No other book has had the impact, saved lives, lasted through all this persecution, no book has even had as many original manuscripts as the Bible. Literally no one can tell me it’s not the only living Word of God.

ALSO I wanted to say if anyone wants to add to this or comment on something I’ve written, please email me or comment on this post! I want to hear from people! If anyone has blog suggestions maybe? Feedback is good and I appreciate it. Love y’all that read these to the end ❤ Come back next month hehe
